Abstract
Air conditioning or AC in Indonesia is increasing both for small, medium and large sized buildings
ranging from houses, offices, shops, hotels, industries and others. Air conditioning is intended to provide
comfort and freshness of the conditioned room. Each room has a different heat load and this will affect
the specifications of the AC machine, one of which is the Inverter and Non-Inverter AC. Testing of Split
Inverter and Non-Inverter AC based on this refrigerant pressure variant requires appropriate steps to
avoid errors that can result in damaged components and equipment and to obtain the expected data. The
purpose of testing AC Inverter and Non-Inverter is to determine the performance of AC on various
performances. From the test, it was found that the lower the temperature setting (Setting temperature:
170C), the lower the Coefficient of Performance (COP), the lower the work efficiency of the system and
the higher the consumption of electrical energy needed because the compressor will work more extra to
reach the desired temperature. required. On the other hand, the higher the temperature setting (setting
temperature: 240C), the greater the Coefficient of Performance (COP), the greater the efficiency of the
system, and the smaller the consumption of electrical energy required.
