Abstract.
This research is motivated by a development project that produces construction waste so that it affects environmental
damage. Meanwhile, used materials as part of construction waste can be reused in buildings as a sustainable
construction movement, namely development that pays attention to the carrying capacity of the environment. This
study aims to describe the reuse method in buildings and identify elements of used materials from the point of view of
building design. The main theory used is the Hierarchical Recycling Theory with the reuse method as the highest level
in the process. The research method used is a qualitative-descriptive research method by providing case examples
related to the reuse of used materials as building materials. The reuse of used materials as materials is a feasible step
in designing and constructing buildings as well as an effort to save the environment due to damage to construction
waste
